Hey everyone. I figured I’d upload some pictures of my tasty/not so tasty lunch. I went to a local Chinese takeaway shop (takeaway is the New Zealand version of takeout food). When I got there I saw they had a special on. The special included a steak burger, hot dog, fries, and potato fritter for only $5.00. This is a good deal since $5.00 New Zealand is about the same as $3.75 Canadian and the tax is already built into the price, so I figured I would order it. The steak burger was tasty, but the steak piece was a cheap cut of steak. The hot dog turned out to be a pogo stick kind of thing with a sausage/hotdog fried in a tempura batter. The potato fritter was a slice of tempura battered deep fried potato and the fries were fries. And yes…the packaged it all up for me in 1960’s style…all wrapped in news paper. HAHAHAHA! Does anyone remember people wrapping things up in newspapers???
Anyways, here’s a photo of me holding my lunch package on the way home, and another one of it when it was unwrapped…and half eaten. P.S. Despite the smell of the grease and knowing the oil has probably been sitting in the same deep fryer for month, it wasn’t all that bad.
so the entire time I read this, all I could think was carbs carbs carbs, defried. how big is your ass now?
